How to Make A Handmade Silver Christmas Tree Ornament

Repurposing old items is a great way to have new and interesting ornaments for your Christmas tree or refurbishing before passing on, old family ornaments  to your kids as they grow up and make their own holiday traditions with their kids.

It is also a fun way to take natural items like pine cones or even cut outs traced from cookie cutters to create interesting and memorable ornaments.  My kids love to do this.  One year our tree had mostly natural things on it like popcorn with cranberries (talk about a pain to string LOL), cinnamon ornaments and dried oranges cut across the orange in slices to look like stars.  My daughter's friends made fun of my cute little try and wanted to know when the bagels were showing up.

After that little adventure, I decided to start making ornaments and letting the kids participate.

This video gives you a good place to start with a little imagination and some basic tools like paint, sponge brushes and a glue gun, your imagination is the only limit on what you can create to dectorate  your tree and make lasting memories with your family.
